Cutting Types

Skaggs professional crews are experienced in all types of concrete sawing methods with the experience and tools necessary for commercial jobs large and small.  Cost-effective and on schedule concrete cutting of floors, walls, sidewalks, parking lots, access ramps and other specialties.

Flat or Slab Sawing

Flat Sawing is used to cut horizontal concrete or asphalt using self-propelled gas or electrical saws.

Hand Sawing

Small, portable hand-held saws are used to make small openings in the floor, ceilings, or walls.

Push Sawing

Push sawing is also used in flat sawing operations but a push saw is smaller and more maneuverable than a flat saw.

Chain Sawing

Diamond-tipped chain saws are used to create small rectangular openings or to do detail finishes.

Wall Sawing

Wall sawing is used to cut openings for windows or doors in vertical concrete or surfaces, such as concrete or brick walls. A wall saw runs along a track mounted to the wall.

Project:

Skaggs converted an outdated two story poured concrete building into an attractive modern office space by saw cutting out twelve concrete panels, then plucking and lowering them with a crane onto a busy Los Angeles street.
